I'm a Korean Language lecturer with interests mainly in Language and Culture. I was born and grew up in Korea, where I did BA and MA degrees. I came to UVA in 2011. Before joining the Department of East Asian Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Virginia, I taught Korean at Boston University, the University of Michigan and Harvard University from 2000 to the present, as well as at Universities in Korea since 1993, at all levels of Korean language.


Specializations: Second language acquisition, Language assessment, Teaching and learning language through culture, Project-based foreign language education
